  11. As an ARRL Special Service Club, we have met our agreement to develop 
  12. our skills in the specified areas during the past year in accordance 
  13. with the guidelines in the Special Service Club Manual. With this 
  14. application we apply for renewal as an ARRL Special Service Club for 
  15. the year to come. We have worked closely with our Affiliated Club 
  16. Coordinator throughout the year. Recently we have discussed our successes 
  17. and problems during the past year, reviewed our current strengths 
  18. and weaknesses and agreed on an acceptable program for the coming 
  19. year.

  48. Renewal Information
  49. Truly special Amateur Radio clubs are well balanced in their programs 
  50. for serving the community, developing club members' Amateur Radio 
  51. skills and social activities, striving each year to build on their 
  52. successes to improve their effectiveness. The objective of the ARRL's 
  53. Special Service Club program is to help good clubs organize and focus 
  54. their efforts on those things that really count. Being an SSC should 
  55. mean that members have certain skills, that the club as a group has 
  56. the ability to provide service inside and outside the Amateur Radio 
  57. community, and that it does so when needed.
  58. To be renewed as an ARRL Special Service Club, your club must be actively 
  59. involved in each of the following areas. Please describe your planned 
  60. programs and activities in each area to your ACC. 
  61. __A. New Ham Development and Training 
  62. __B. Public relations 
  63. __C. Emergency communications 
  64. __D. Technical advancement 
  65. __E. Operating activities 
  66. __F. Miscellaneous activities 
  67. __G. ARRL membership recruitment
  68.  
  69. Maintaining close ties with your section's ARRL Field Organization 
  70. is an important aspect of your SSC commitment. Your ARRL members should 
  71. be encouraged to seek official ARRL appointments: Official Relay Station, 
  72. Official Emergency Station, Official Observer, Public Information 
  73. Assistant, Official Bulletin Station, and Assistant Technical Coordinator. 
  74. Please contact your Section Manager for appointment information and 
  75. applications. (Note: official appointments are not required as conditions 
  76. for SSC acceptance or renewal).
  77. Important: Your renewal as an ARRL Special Service Club requires only 
  78. that you discuss your successes and problems last year, your current 
  79. assessment of your strengths and weaknesses and your plans for the 
  80. year ahead with your Affiliated Club Coordinator. He or she will work 
  81. with you in setting your club's course for the next twelve months 
  82. and, when you've come to an agreement, will sign this form and forward 
  83. it to ARRL Headquarters.
